Sometimes time apart is just what you need. If you are going through a rough time, then spend time apart. Often absence makes the hard grow fonder. Whle you are gone, try and occupy yourself with non stressful things to go. Go out and exercise or flit with a past girlfriend. It can really help

Don’t get angry

Isnt that easy to say? But in the moment it isn’t nearly that easy. Take the high road and be responsible for your emotions. It is your job to control and master them. Out of control emotions never get anyone anywhere. When you do make a mistake, be quick to apologize and take ownership of your faults. The blame game is what kindergartners play, not adults. One of the best things you can do is talk to an advisor, someone you trust. This can help alleviate the pain that is building up and avoid the explosion.

Go running

Ok, running isn’t really the key, but set up a hobby that you can do and enjoy yourself. This helps get your mind of the nasty mess at home. If you have family spend time with them during your hobby bonding. They can help you a lot

Support system

Make sure you get a good support system. Friend and family are vital when going through hard times. Besides, you need someone that bad mouth about your wife too. There is nothing like making her look really bad to your friends and family. They will help you see that maybe she isn’t so bad after all. They are quick to help give you friendly advice if you have chosen the right support group.

Be positive

Even if you have to end up getting divorced, be positive. The world has not ended. At least half of the country has experienced what you are going through. How Can I Rescue My Christian Marriage

The problem is we often desire to do it our own way because we tend to think the ways God said a marriage should be are old-fashioned and sexist. This usually comes from a misinterpretation of Ephesians 5:22 where the Bible says, “Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands, as unto the Lord.” This is even a common excuse some people have for not being a Christian at all. However, this is usually taken completely out of context, because right after that, in verse 25, it says, “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the Church, and gave Himself for it.” A husband is supposed to love his wife with a sacrificial love, willingly giving all of himself to her. He is not supposed to be bossy toward her, treat her cruelly, take her for granted, or talk down to her. If the husband is excercising such a love for his wife, then she should willingly “submit” to his authority over the home, show him loving respect, and willingly come under his sheltering love and care. It’s a give and take and neither the husband nor the wife is to be a dictator or a tyrant. You may be in a troubled Christian marriage or perhaps you’re a non-Christian with marriage problems looking for a way to save your marriage and prevent the pain of divorce. Oklahoma Divorce – How To File An Uncontested Divorce In Oklahoma

In order to file, you are going to need one initial file to start the Process. This file is called a Petition for Dissolution of Marriage, or commonly referred to as “Petition”.

Petition for Dissolution of Marriage – This document let’s the court know exactly what you are trying to get accomplished. This also is the document that tells your spouse that you want to divorce them. The Petition requests that the court look over the findings and issue a Decree of Dissolution of Marriage.

In other words, STEP ONE: Take the Petition to a Notary Public, and sign the Petition and the Affidavit, and have the Notary sign and Notarize it.

STEP TWO: Take the Notarized Petition, make 3 copies of it, and take those copies to the Court Clerk in your County, and tell them you need to File Your Divorce Petition.

STEP THREE: After you have filed your Petition, you must wait a minimum of ONE DAY before you can have your spouse sign the documents he/she needs to sign. This is a court rule in ALL COUNTIES IN OKLAHOMA! ****IF YOU TAKE ANY DOCUMENT TO THE COURT CLERK THAT YOUR SPOUSE HAS SIGNED AND THE DATE IS NOT AT LEAST ONE DAY AFTER YOU FILED, THEN THAT DOCUMENT IS MADE VOID AND YOU WILL HAVE TO HAVE YOUR SPOUSE RE-SIGN AND RE-NOTARIZE IT! VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU UNDERSTAND THIS RULE!*****

If you have NO CHILDREN with this marriage together, then the only document you need to have your spouse sign will be the Waiver of Appearance – YOUR SPOUSE WAIVES THEIR RIGHT TO APPEAR IN COURT. ALL OF OUR CUSTOMERS DO THEIR DIVORCE THIS WAY! Only the Petitioner is required to meet with the Judge!

If you have Children, then there may be some other documents for your spouse to sign, such as the Joint Custody Plan, Child Support Computation, Application to Waive the 90 Day Waiting Period, and others if needed. Keep in mind this is actually very simple. Read the Summary to the right to see how simple it is!

STEP FOUR: This is the day you see the Judge! The Court Clerk will have given you the court date by now. Anything, including the Waiver of Appearance, that you have not filed with the Court, take this with you on your court date!
